Solar water heaters

Also called solar domestic hot water systems — are a cost-effective way to generate hot water for your home. They are extremely efficient, and the fuel they use — sunshine — is free.

Solar water heating uses the sun as the energy source to heat a home’s water. Solar water heating systems include; solar collectors, storage tanks and circulation pumps. The solar collector absorbs the heat from the sun and the pump circulates the water between the collector and the tank. These systems work well in Florida where there is an abundance of sunshine…free energy!

Thermal/Radiant barriers

An inexpensive way to keep your attics cool. Radiant barriers are installed inside the attic and block 97% of the heat radiating from the roof to your AC ducts.

Effectively, radiant barriers keep the heat beating down on your roof from reaching your ceilings. They make your home more comfortable and reduce the work on your air conditioner.

Solar Pool Heating

You can significantly reduce swimming pool heating costs with a solar pool heater. Solar pool heating is the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly way to heat your pool. Most solar pool heating systems include an array of solar collector panels, pump, and a flow control valve. The solar collector panels, which are mounted on the roof, absorb the sun’s energy to heat the pool water which is circulated through the solar panels. The automatic flow control valve is thermostatically controlled for your comfort.

Salt Chlorinators

As part of our “Go Green” initiatives with environmentally friendly products, we also offer salt chlorination systems. The benefits of salt systems in pools are the convenience and the constant delivery of pure chlorine-based sanitizer. Salt chlorinators can lengthen the pool resurfacing cycle, thus increasing the home owner’s savings.

Salt chlorine generator (also known as a salt system or a salt chlorinator) is a swimming pool chlorination system that creates chlorine from sodium chloride (salt). The salt generator uses electrolysis in the presence of dissolved salt (NaCl) to produce hypochlorous acid (HClO) and sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), which are the sanitizing agents that are commonly used in swimming pools. With a salt chlorinators, there is no more direct addition of chlorine, so there’s no more mixing and pouring of dangerous liquid chlorine or tablets. The pool resurface cycle is lengthened significantly.

Photovoltaic Array (PV)

Also called photovoltaic panels, it is a system that converts energy from sunlight into electrical energy to power your home. The main components include an array of photo voltaic panels, power conditioning equipment, power converters, also known as inverters, and a racking system that supports the panels.

A PV array is an interconnected collection of appropriately sized solar panels. PV arrays use an inverter to convert the direct current (DC) produced by the PV panels into alternating current (AC). Grid connected PV systems can also return unused power to the electric grid for credit to the homeowner’s account. If the PV system is installed in areas with high levels of sunlight and is appropriately engineered, some homes can be considered off-grid as they may have no power demands from the public grid (utility company).
